A Place for Everything 2.0

I’ve just finished my latest bag (on the right in the photo), another one from By Annie, as usual. This is actually an updated version of one I did way back in 2014 (on the left) and which has done heroic service since then. The new bag has a few refinements, including the way the “pages” are put into the “shell”. In the original version, each page had velcro to attach it to the inner spine. Now, though, the pages are double-width and are attached by means of a strap down the center. In my original version, I divided almost all of the pockets to make small spaces for machine feet, but I found that I rarely used the bag for that purpose. Now I use the bag to hold hardware and other supplies, and it rarely leaves home.

In this newer version, I’ve kept about half of the pockets full-sized and divided only a few. The divided ones are no smaller than quarter of the size of the page, and there are very few that are that small; I’ve stuck mostly to half-page and full-page pockets. Besides, if I need to carry a lot of feet somewhere, I can always use my original version!

One fun note: I was lucky enough to find some zipper pulls that look like the Eiffel Tower — perfect for this Paris-themed fabric!
