Exploding Star

Blue and orange triangles on a white background, giving the impression of the background heart having exploded and scattered bits everywhere.Well, that was fast! After I wrote a few hours ago that I was trying to figure out how to get a photo of the Exploding Heart quilt I’d recently  made, it hit me that someone at my local quilt shop might be able to help! Sure enough, one of the taller women who works there (she’s so nice!) climbed up on a sturdy cutting table and held the quilt up for me! So here’s the finished quilt, 70″ x 70″ and made entirely on my fabulous Bernina 790Pro.

Here are a couple of pictures of some of the feathered quilting that I put into the corners.

Quilted feathers in a spray arrangement in a lower corner of the quilt.A larger quilted spray of feathers on the white background.

And here is my supervisor as I took photos!

Chouchou -- a small white dog -- sits near the top of the quilt to supervise.
