A new bag

Exterior of bag for portable charger. Fabric is green leaves/ferns with chartreuse binding and front decoration with "Podfeet" logo.A couple of weeks ago, a good friend of mine, Allison Sheridan, posted on her blog that she’d bought a new travel charger for her devices. The only problem was that the bag it came with was too small to hold the cord as well, and it was made of some disgusting fabric that just wasn’t going to cut it. Oh, and there was no way to keep that bag closed, anyway. Allison also hinted rather strongly 😉 that she’d like me to make her a new bag.

Interior of the same bag, showing the lining and with the charger and cord inside. What was I to do? Obviously, I had to rise to the occasion! I made a very simple bag, interlined with Soft and Stable for cushioning and stability, and added a little slip pocket inside for the cord. Without that pocket, the cord could have scratched up the surface of the charger, after all. The bag is closed with Velcro.

Photo shows the exterior of the bag leaning against the white back of a cushion with the same Podfeet logo. The logo on the cushion is orange, but it is green on the bag.

As a final touch on the bag, I embroidered my friend’s logo, which I’d originally used on a cushion made for her a few years ago. This photo shows the back of that cushion with the new bag.
