Solar Eclipse 2024

No, I won’t be able to see the total eclipse tomorrow; I don’t live in the right place, and I won’t be traveling to get there.Navy fabric machine embroidered mug rug.Embroidered motif shows a moon face crossing over a stylized sun. Text on the left is "Solar Eclipse," and on the right "04.08.24" in gold. That’s okay; I’ll see a partial one, and that’s fine.

Still, this eclipse is big news! One of the machine embroidery sites I like made a commemorative design for the occasion, so I decided to make it, just for fun. Besides, I’m trying to slow down on my current quilt so as to have something to do at a sewing day sponsored by our local guild next week. 😉

The design here was from San Francisco Stitch Co., and I think it will be fun to have as a memento.
