Slow progress

I’m still working — slowly — on the same quilt as I showed you previously. It’s slow going, since there are always (of course!) interruptions. It’s also quite a bit larger than my usual quilts, due to a lack of forethought before I started it. Thank goodness I have that wonderful suspension system to help keep the weight of the quilt from dragging and messing up what I’m doing. If I couldn’t stop the dragging, quilting would be impossible! At any rate, I’ve now finished the 21 feathered wreaths in the larger white spaces. I’ve also done all of the straight lines in the colored strips, as well as more feathers in the white strips and squares. I still have partial feathered wreaths to do in the setting triangles around the edges, but I’m beginning to see the end of the quilting on this one! 🙂

The thing is that I really like doing the quilting. However, I have to extend the back leaf of my sewing cabinet, and that means that my sewing room is reduced to almost no space even to walk around! LOL! I have just a tiny walkway from the partially-closed door to my machine and computer. However, I’m not knocking it; before moving here, I had a sewing *closet* — not a room at all!
