My local quilt group is working on a BOM again this year, this one designed by our “fearless leader”. She’s a talented quilter/designer who has had some quilts published in a magazine, and she volunteered to do this one for us this year. She made the blocks 8″ square, with a separate tree block to be added to each in the final assembly. However, I prefer smaller blocks, so I’ve been “shrinking”” each one to 4″ (plus tree to be added later) — a challenge in some of them, given the half-rectangle squares. So far, so good, though! These two are the most recent, for June (on the left) and July.
This is the full set of blocks so far; we’re sort of ahead, but that will allow extra time for finishing at the end of the year. 🙂
