Got the Point?

Quilt depicting sewing machine needles in a variety of bright colors on a pale blue background.Got the Point? That’s what I’ve named my latest quilt. It was a fun one to make, and it’s now hanging in my sewing room, replacing a quilt that had hung there for over 20 years! It was time for a change, wouldn’t you agree? As you may be able to tell, the quilt is hanging above my ruler rack, which holds my smaller cutting rulers.

This was a quick quilt to make, as it measures only about 31″ square, and I added my usual corded piping (multicolored this time) between the quilt and the binding.

Detail of "needle" quilt showing the free-motion feathers and ruler work quilting. Here’s a detail of the quilting, which is a combination of feathers and ruler work lines filled with large-ish pebbles. I did the quilting on my domestic Bernina 790Pro, which is an amazing machine!
