New wall hanging

I saw an adorable little quilt at my LQS a few weeks ago and — of course — bought the pattern. 😉 It’s called Stitched with Love, by Camille Roskelley. I thought it would be a cute addition to my small sewing room. To make it even better, our local guild was having a Sew Day yesterday, so I cut out all of the pieces for the design and took it and my new, more portable Bernina 475 to have fun with other quilters.

The color-coded illustrations were confusing, though I am a fan of color coding in most cases. I worked on the quilt top all day yesterday and then managed to finish the top today. Whew! The entire top is made with pieces of fabrics I had on hand already, so that’s a good thing — I just need to figure out what I have that will work for piping and binding after I’ve done the quilting. I still think it will be cute in my sewing room!
