Sewing Day

I’ve been neglecting my blog lately, mainly because my shoulder has been acting up, so I haven’t been able to do much quilting. I’m thinking I’m going to limit myself to smaller projects from now on to keep this from happening.

At any rate, yesterday my granddaughter came over for another session of working on her quilt. She has such a busy schedule, with school and dancing and family time, that we don’t get to work on it as often as we’d like. Still, that’s one of the nice things about quilts: they do wait for our convenience! This time she stitched the front side of the binding to the quilt, though the back side will have to await yet another time. So far, every stitch has been made on her little Featherweight machine, which first belonged to my late mother-in-law before she gave it to me; I then gave it to my granddaughter. Anyway, we went out to lunch, too, so it was a busy day and very productive. 🙂
