Turning a corner

IMG_0833I’ve had lots of interruptions lately, but I’m still plugging away at my ‘Tis the Season quilt (see my previous post and the one before that). I’ve finished embroidering the borders and adding them to the center; unfortunately, I don’t have a large enough space to put it up to show you — at least, not until it’s finished with a hanging sleeve! LOL! Once I had the center done, I added the narrow red inner border, then the embroidered borders, finally adding an outer red border. But wait! Did I say that the embroidered borders were finished? Nope — the main parts of those borders were, indeed, done, but there were still the four corners to do!

Those four corners require some fiddly rehooping, and I’ve just done the first one today. 😀 Yay! Claudia Dinnell’s technique worked beautifully, and the two hoopings matched up just as I’d hoped! Just three more corners — six hoopings — to go ….
