Dresser scarf

IMG_0417-2As I was working on the project I last showed you, it suddenly occurred to me that it would work very well in my granddaughter’s bedroom! Even better, her birthday is coming up this Friday, so I now had a deadline to work towards — and I made it. 🙂 Of course, the piecing was very simple; half-square triangles are nothing to stress over, after all. I decided to quilt it pretty heavily, and the straight lines in the yellow triangles were the subject of my last post. Then I had to decide on a curvy motif to use for the pink triangles, and I ended up with some spirals that contrast nicely with those straight lines, I think.

Here’s a photo of the whole thing. As you can see, it’s quite narrow and fairly long, measuring 41″ in length and almost 6.5″ wide. It won’t take up much room on my granddaughter’s dresser, but it should drape nicely off the ends. By the way, it’s not easy to take a decent photo of something this long and narrow! LOL!
