My quilting buddy from Phoenix has been spending a few days here with me, and we had a project in mind to keep us busy and out of trouble. 😉 We used our embroidery modules to appliqué some adorable puppies from this pattern.
They’re so cute that we’ve been oohing and awwing at every step! I chose three pups to begin with, but I really had trouble making up my mind — except for the cocker spaniel puppy, of course, since our Bisou likes the same play position. LOL!
These three blocks are all that I have finished at this point, but I’ll have to decide how I want to put them together and what other motifs to add to make everything fit together.
Edit: My quilting buddy has just posted photos of her Mixed Mutts dogs, too! Here’s where you can find them.

So adorable! And wow, your machine does a beautiful satin stitch.
Thanks, Marcella! One of the things I like so much about my Bernina is the stitch quality. Doing these blocks was so much fun!
They are so cute!! I purchased the Cat’s Meow pattern. Need to put it on my list of projects!! I have a Pfaff Creative Performance and one of it’s best features for me is also the satin stitch.
I saw that pattern on the same web site, Darlene, and it’s also very cute. 🙂 I’m sure you’ll be as happy with your results as I am with mine!
I never knew that it depended on the number of stitches one got. I just assumed that it was so much per image that was placed on the garment. Guess you learn something new each day.
Does the embird program allow you to transfer the appliques to the program so that you can manuever the names? I am new to this and the only program I have to the monogram wizard plus.
Lesley, I’m afraid I don’t know the answer to your question, as I don’t use Embird. In fact, I just used the patterns as they were in the digitized set, without any alterations. I’m not sure what names you’re referring to.
