I’m almost finished with the quilting on my quail project! There will be a slight delay, though, while my Bernina 780 has a bit of an adjustment. I don’t want to switch to my 630, as I’m afraid the quilting will be noticeably different at this late stage. Luckily for me, the problem was discovered during one of the mastery classes I’m taking to “get acquainted” with the various functions of the machine. In the meantime, I thought I’d post a couple of photos of the quilting I’ve been doing. At left are the three baby quail, marching along in front of a quilted saguaro cactus.
To the right is the motif I decided to use for the borders. I rather like this one, with its sort of braided effect. The rest of the quilting will come as soon as my 780 is discharged from the hospital. 😉
