I really like to machine quilt. I used to hand quilt, but my hands just aren’t up for that any longer, so it’s a very good thing that I think that most machine quilting is such fun. I’ve tried several different feet suitable for using rulers on a domestic machine, beginning with one I modified and which didn’t work too badly but which wasn’t the greatest. Then I bought one that wasn’t quite a real quarter inch. I tried a third one, the Westalee foot, thanks to the generosity of Patsy Thompson, but at about that time I began to hear rumors of a foot designed by the Bernina team. I’ve waited and tried to be patient, and it’s paid off at last! I can’t wait to begin using it; I have a little piece just waiting ….
