The project I was working on the other day is now at the next stage. I’ve finished the in-the-hoop (ITH) quilting and will look to see what I have available for binding it. It was a fun project, and my replacement Bernina 790Pro handled it beautifully. The trickiest part is lining up the different blocks (there are six here), made so much easier with the placement tools built into the machine. I don’t think this technique is one I’d use for most projects; I enjoy free-motion work, after all. But here is the finished quilting, ready for trimming and binding. 🙂

Yours lined up so much better than mine did…obviously I needed to stabilize better!!!!
There are some gaps I don’t like, but it was a learning experience, Kim! 🙂
That looks beautiful. I hope the replacement machine gives you much joy in your sewing. Taria
Thanks, Taria! I’m so relieved to have it! 🙂
Love it! Such a striking quilt.
I did that one as well. I found the first 4 tiles were easy to line up but the last 2 were very difficult! Did you have the same issue? I want to do the full quilt but those last 2 tiles have me worried about them getting continually more difficult. I’m sure I was missing something but I couldn’t figure it out. I did basically the same colours as you but did the back in white fabric with a coral thread. Absolutely gorgeous & could be hung using either side.
Love seeing your creativity Sandy.
I was *so* careful to hit those little V shapes for alignment, but things were still a bit “off” when the design ran. I suspect that we’d get better results with the clamp hoops, but these designs won’t fit. I didn’t think to make my version reversible — wish I had! I’d love to see yours!
I still haven’t added the binding but you have motivated me to complete it 😉
I think you can probably see mine on the Pinpoint placement class as I posted the front & back.
I haven’t found it yet, but I’ll keep looking. 🙂 (Later) Found it! It’s gorgeous, Candice! I love that yours is a double-sided quilt, different on each side. 🙂
Now that is just great… I really love the design, & sewing on a black background floats my boat.. Sandy, you are BRILLIANT!
Thanks, Dianne! I’m not a very good photographer, though, since it’s dark brown Grunge background — something I happened to have onhand. LOL!
Never mind (did I miss reading something? LOL! Most likely!) It is still gorgeous.. where did you get the design? That is lovely too.
Thanks again, Dianne — no, you didn’t miss reading something, since I never mentioned the colors. The design was posted as part of an online class from Sewing Mastery — their Pinpoint Placement Master Class. It’s available for a variety of machines, but of course I took the Bernina version. 🙂
