I have a terrible time deciding how I want to quilt my quilts! I’ve been waffling and debating with myself for weeks about how I want to quilt this one — as usual. But at least I’ve finally decided on how I want to do the large white blocks; I’ll make a final decision on the strippy blocks when I’ve finished these.
To refresh your memory, this is a drawing of the design. Those white blocks are 10″ square, leaving plenty of empty space for the feathered wreaths I finally settled on.
Here are the first four, done with 40-wt white Glide thread (click to enlarge). I’m not sure what thread I’ll use in the colored strips, but that’s a minor detail, given that I also don’t yet know how I’m going to quilt them or the white strips. 😉

Beautiful! Sometimes once you jump in everything falls into place.
Isn’t that the truth, Taria? LOL! I just have to work myself up to starting … 😉
Such a beautiful quilt! I would quilt the strippy blocks with parellel straight lines to contrast with the beautiful feathers. Carmen
Thanks, Carmen — that’s sort of what I’ve been considering.:)
Wonderful work, Sandy!
Thanks, Hope! 🙂
