I haven’t posted for a while, but I have finally finished the top I’ve been working on. This photo shows just the completed top, but yesterday I also pin basted it for quilting. Of course, I haven’t yet decided how I’m going to quilt it, but that will come. In the meantime, here’s the top draped across a sofa, since no one was handy to hold it up. 😉

You did a great job. I like the diamonds used for the sashing. It makes it more interesting.
Thanks, Bonnie! 🙂
Hey Sandy! What a pretty top. Your work is always stellar. Hope you are surviving the heat. Hugs, Taria
Thanks, Taria! The heat is pretty bad, but I quilt indoors. 😉
Beautiful work, Sandy! I love your fabric choices and can’t wait to see your quilting.
Thanks, Kathleen!
Love it! What pattern is it? Ellen
Thanks, Ellen! It was originally called Snails Trail Al Fresco. I bought the pattern and then redrafted it in EQ8, since I didn’t want to buy the specialty ($$) rulers that the pattern required.
This is beautiful, Sandy! I love this block combination, the way the stars, snail’s trails and blossom shapes all play off one another, and the color palette is so pretty, too. You will have so much fun quilting this one!
Thanks, Rebecca Grace! I’m still trying to decide how I want to quilt it. 🙂
Looks like jewels to me. I think it is the diamonds and the fabrics. Love the way this pops. d
Thanks, Denise! I’m awaiting a thread delivery, and then I’ll get going on the quilting. 🙂
