No, I’m not going crazy — I hope — but “Flipping Out” is the name of a pattern I saw online at By Annie and thought would be fun to make. I know that her patterns are really good, since I’ve made many of them over the years. I needed a new container or two for some of the things I keep handy on my sewing table, too, and I just happened to have some pieces of fabric that I knew would be great for this project — just enlarge the photo and look at the sewing machine on one of the fabrics!
As you can see, there are two sizes for different types of tools, and each closes with a zipper for handy transport, whether to another room or to a meeting or retreat. With the zipper open, the top folds back for easy access, and there are mesh pockets all around the inside, with another small handy pocket right in front.
Oh, and just in case you’re going somewhere where you’ll need a beverage, the large size holds not only tall tools, but also your beverage of choice. 😉

Very nice I love the odd shape of the bag. Great job!
Thanks, Sherry! 🙂
Oh I love that & your fabric! I have some laminate which would be great for the inside. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Candice! Laminate on the inside would be a great idea if you’re going to use the bag for things that might leak! 🙂
