I’m going to be taking an online class soon, and part of the prep work was to quilt a reasonably large piece of fabric prior to cutting it into smaller pieces for the various steps of the class. Rather than doing one type of quilting over the entire surface — I figured that would be boring — I decided to do a little of “this” and a little of “that”. Some of what I did was free-motion feathers and a few fillers, and part was practice with ruler work. Now to cut it up ….

It looks so beautiful! Will be fun to see what it turns into later.
Thanks, Marcella! It will turn into a lot of different samples! All of the samples will illustrate different edge finishes.
I want to make sure I’m understanding. You quilt something and then cut it up to quilt it more?

I guess I didn’t explain very well, Denise! I’ll be cutting it up to try different edge finishes — lots of them, and they’re all beautiful when done by Bethanne Nemesh. 🙂
