Last night and the night before, my husband pointed out Bisou soundly sleeping on our couch. She spends quite a bit of each evening dozing, then comes to find me when she decides it’s really bedtime. Then she settles herself on the foot of the bed, where she remains until morning brings wild “zoomies” and ecstatic bouncing at the thought of another day. What a character! But isn’t she just adorable?
Today I finished sewing all of my Drunkard’s Path blocks together, so now they’re ready for me to sandwich and quilt. I thought about adding a border, but I really think borders might detract from the pattern and even stop the movement I get from it. What do you think?
I still need to decide what color binding to use, too, though I think I’ve decided on thread color and — mostly — quilt motifs.

I can’t believe how quickly you made that quilt top! Did you use templates for the cutting? It looks lovely and I agree that a border isn’t needed. Not all quilts need them.
I agree, I wouldn’t border it either. As for binding – I’d do a binding with all/any left over fabrics from the quilt. It’s really a stunning quilt!
Thanks, Katie — that’s what I’m seriously considering doing. 🙂 Looking at your blog brings back memories, since I grew up in AZ and lived there for many years before moving here! 🙂
