I'm a retired high school French teacher from Arizona, now living in the Las Vegas area. I loved teaching French, but I love retirement even more! I'm a quilter, and most of what you see here will be about quilting, though I've also taken up knitting, and I love to bake. :)
Saguaro against the sky

Saguaro quilt

It’s finished! Yay! I used swirls in most of the background — and there’s a lot of background in this quilt — hoping to suggest the blowing wind. By the time I’d finished them, I was royally tired of swirls! I quilted the saguaro itself with straight-ish lines interrupted by […]

Saguaro quilt top

Saguaro

Wow! I hadn’t really noticed how long it’s been since I’ve written a blog post, but here we go. I made a quilt top that I’ve decided I don’t like. I have it all sandwiched and ready to quilt, but I can’t seem to get to the quilting, since I […]

floral mug rugs for April & May

More mug rugs

I’ve made more of the mug rugs designed by San Francisco Stitch Company. These two will go to our daughters for Mother’s Day, though they reflect their birthdays. They’re such fun to make, and I hope they’ll be useful. 🙂
