Contemplating …

Quilt top in white (background) and shades of blue and orange. The negative space creates a large hollow heart shape.I’m once again in my usual quandary: what designs to use when quilting my latest quilt top, which is to be a gift. I’ve finished the top, which is called Exploding Heart, and I’m planning to sandwich the backing, batting, and top when I can have uninterrupted use of our one and only table, which is quite a bit smaller than this quilt. That’s fine, though; I know how to work around that. However, the quilt top is 72″ x 72″, and the backing and batting are several inches larger than that, of course. That means that the actual quilting will be a bit more awkward on my fabulous Bernina 790Pro. Still, the biggest roadblock right now is deciding on the motifs to use!
