I’ve been having so much fun making the various different paper-pieced bird blocks designed by WonderFil last year that I haven’t been able to stop. I’d originally planned to work on them *only* at the monthly (more or less) sewing days sponsored by the local guild, but I keep making “just one more” at home. They’re so cute!
I worked on the toucan at the last sewing day, but then I couldn’t resist finishing him at home. And then the cockatoo, parrot, and pine grosbeak followed as I found myself making one after the other. Will power? What’s that?
Anyway, here are the blocks I’ve made most recently. They are (top left to bottom right) the toucan, the cockatoo, the parrot, and the pine grosbeak. I love them!

Oh they are cute! I’m not a paper piecer but I may have to give this one a try. I think you said what your plan was for them but I’ve forgotten. Was it a quilt? No matter what it will be loved as it is gorgeous!
Thanks, Candice, and — yes — they will be a quilt. It’s hard to tell at this point, but some of the birds’ tails overlap into other blocks, so they really have to go together as designed.
