More BOM progress

I’m making more progress on the various blocks-of-the-month (BOMs) that I’m suddenly involved in. How did I get wrapped up in three all at once?

Paper-pieced block of a green hummingbird with blue wings and white chest. Bird is flying above a brown branch and against a blue sky.The most recent one is the birds from Wonderfil’s BOM last year. We had another sewing day sponsored by the local guild, and I worked on the second bird in the series, a hummingbird. This is the one that had caught my eye in the first place when I saw the set, since I have a hummingbird feeder outside my sewing room window — though the hummingbirds that frequent it don’t really look like this one.

Machine embroidered block of a house on a green lawn. House is blue with dark blue roof and red door. There is a giant red/blue teacup on the roof with flowers growing inside. Then it was time to do this month’s little house for the Riley Blake BOM sponsored by the LQS. These little houses are so cute! The teapot on the room makes me laugh every time I look at it.
