I’ve had this design for a couple of months and finally got around to making it today. It’s just a little mug rug (from San Francisco Stitch Company), but I wanted it as a sort of souvenir, even though we weren’t in Paris for this year’s Olympics. It only takes a couple of hours to make something like this, and it’s fun to do and to have or gift afterwards.
I really like having the Bernina Stitchout app on my phone so I can monitor the embroidery process, even when I’m not in the same room. It tells me when the machine has stopped for a thread change or when there might be a problem, like the bobbin being empty.
Now it will be back to making quilts! 🙂

Really neat, Sandy. I just did a Halloween mug rug too.. I used some of Creative Kiwi’s freebie and added bits from my design stash to come up with my “own ” creation.
Thanks, Dianne! But where can I see your mug rug???
That is so cute! SFO Stitch CO has the nicest designs.
Thanks, Deena — and I agree! They always stitch out so nicely, too. 🙂
