This is the wonderful sewing machine I’ve had for more than the past five years. A few years ago, I was able to add a lovely iridescent “skin” to the plain faceplate (click the photo to enlarge for a better view!), and I’ve loved sewing on such a beautiful machine with such wonderful capabilities.
However, disaster struck, and it turned out to be better in the long run to get a new machine. I’m really going to miss that skin, but I can’t find any skins, let alone anything even vaguely similar, these days. 🙁 So I packed up my machine, the embroidery module and all of the accessories. It was a lot to pack up!
And this is what came home with me. It looks about the same, except that there’s that additional large box in the back with lots of extras.
The new machine is absolutely wonderful, even if it isn’t as spectacular in looks. Among other things, it has a built-in laser that shows exactly where each new stitch is going to fall — a very handy feature for the satin-stitch appliqué that is my current project. I think I’m going to love this machine! But if I could find a new skin to jazz up that plain black faceplate, I’d be ecstatic. 🙂

Congratulations! I’ve been looking at the Pro & watching all the videos. Still sitting on the fence between it & whatever comes out next year. Mind you my 790 Plus is still a fantastic machine which I absolutely love. I can’t wait to see the amazing things you create with your new baby. Enjoy!
Thanks! Yes, the 790Plus is a fantastic machine, but I couldn’t resist this one. Good luck making a decision!
