Several years ago, I made a Dresden Plate quilt, and I’ve always intended to make another one — they’re fun! I especially like Susan Cleveland’s method of making them without the center appliquéd circle. 😉 Anyway, I’ve finally begun another one! It’s a little different, as Susan’s technique has evolved over time, but much is still very similar. I’m doing this one with 30° wedges, rather than the 18° wedges from my previous one; this was to accommodate some embroidered motifs I’m putting into some of the wedges.
At this point, I have all of the wedges made and am making all of the ends into points before putting them onto a background. Such fun! The photo shows one set with its pointed ends laid out into the circular form they will take.
