Beginning another one

Last summer I pieced a quilt top called Metropolis II by Heidi Pridemore, and that top has been “marinating” while I considered how I wanted to quilt it. I’d finally decided that I wanted to use some of the designs that Sue Heinz has in her repertoire and which would work very well in this quilt that sort of looks woven. Our guild was lucky enough to sponsor Sue Heinz at a meeting and classes in January, so I put off the quilting even more until after the class I took — and until my sprained back was feeling better.

But now I’ve started, and I’m loving the texture created by the motif I chose to use first! I can only work on it a little at a time so as not to strain my back more, but it will progress. 🙂
