I’ve posted before that I like to give our grandchildren a Christmas ornament each year. Sometimes it’s a purchased one, perhaps from a trip my husband and I have taken; and sometimes it’s something I’ve made. After the holidays last year I ran across a design at Sweet Pea that I thought was pretty cute; it’s appropriately called Stuffed Gnome Ornaments. I purchased it and stuck it away for another time. Since I was between projects the other day, I decided to go ahead and make the ornaments — I figure it’s a good idea to start early, in case of complications (= user error, cough, cough). 😉
There were no complications, however, and I now have all five ornaments stuffed and ready for the holidays! They were quite easy to make, though I’d do the back — which includes an opening for turning and stuffing — slightly differently if I were to make them again. Now to find a place to stash them. 😉 I’m putting in a second photo of just one of the gnomes to better show the details (click on the photos to enlarge them), but there are actually three different designs. You might be able to tell that the mouths are slightly different, as well as the beards and the tops of the hats.
