Last year our guild was forced to cancel our annual quilt show, due to COVID restrictions. It was sad, but of course it had to be done. This year, though, the show was back, though it was online to try to keep things under control, in terms of exposure and safety. The judging was done by means of photos, which isn’t ideal, of course, but at least we had something to look at when the show went live for a couple of days.
I entered two quilts — the same two I’d intended to enter last year. One was Christmas Toys and the other was Swirly Whirly. I’m very pleased to say that Swirly Whirly won a lovely blue ribbon in its category!

Hi Sandy. Enjoy your ribbon. You deserve it. I enjoyed the quilt show very much and I selected my choice
of best of show. I entered two quilts on the silent auction, only because maybe I can make some money for DQN. I also donated one of the small wallhangings. Looks like the baskets are doing well, we’ll find out
later on “auction vs selling” tickets for the baskets income for DQN.
Thanks, Diana! I also enjoyed the show. I hope your quilts earned a lot for the guild. 🙂
Congratulations, Sandy. Such a vibrant, happy piece!
Thanks, Dorothy! It was fun to make. 🙂
Congratulations! My guild only has a show every 3rd year, and we also had to cancel. Hope to have one in 2022.
The vaccine roll-out is slow here in Canada, but DH and I had our first shot on Friday. Our country has no vaccine production of its own, and although many doses were promised, they have been slow to arrive. We are staying safe, and I’m getting a lot of time to quilt!
Thanks, Susan! I’m so glad you’ve been able to begin the vaccination process. I’m hoping our shows, both local and more widespread, will be able to resume safely before too much longer. 🙂
Congrats, Sandy! Its a stunning quilt and fun to look at the show.
Thanks, Kathleen! 🙂
