In my last post, I showed a small trapunto project I’d done in the series of online classes I’m taking. The next part was rouleau loops, so I’ve added those to the trapunto piece to finish it off. I’m not a huge fan of beige and only used this fabric because I had it on hand, so I decided to add some color by means of the rouleau loops.
I really should have taken the time to do some small-scale quilting between the trapunto and the loops on the edge; but I was just anxious to finish the piece, so I did some large feathers instead. Not the best choice, but finished is good, right? 😉 The loops take a bit of finagling in order to turn them, but it’s a great technique and a fun edging!
The finished piece is about 18″ square.

Beautiful
Thanks, Phyl. 🙂
I love the trapunto. d
Thanks, Denise! 🙂
Absolutely beautiful in my opinion! Would you mind sharing your source for your online class?
Thanks, Nancy! The series of classes is at <https://www.quiltersquestiontime.com> — enjoy!
Hi Sandy. I love your finished project, it is so detailed and so “perfect”. I love the loops and you know
blues is my favorite color. I do have a complete set of “fast turn” gadget, it turns loops from very thin
to very large. If anyone needs this in the future I’d be very happy to lent it out. I love your project and I comend
you for your patient. The loops are just so beautiful and gave your project so much depth.
Thanks, Diana — you’re very kind to say such nice things!
