My husband and I have been away for a couple of weeks. We took a trip from Venice, Italy, to Athens, Greece. Everywhere we went was gorgeous, though the scenery in Montenegro and Dubrovnik were probably the most gorgeous I’ve seen. Still, I think seeing the Parthenon/Acropolis were the things I’d looked forward to for the longest — since reading some Greek mythology when I was in elementary school! Oh, and there was the obligatory gondola trip in Venice — it was everything I’d hoped for. This is the two of us on our first evening in Venice.
While we were away, a member of our extended family (the niece of our son-in-law) and her husband — both delightful people — had their first baby. Naturally, I wanted to mark the occasion, so I embroidered this birth panel. Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take another photo of it after completing with a blue mat and white frame; I blame jet lag. 😉 I’ve blurred part of the baby’s name for privacy purposes, but the template for the project came from Designs by Juju. I did use my Embrilliance software to very easily add another “block” of text and border above the original one intended for the name; this baby’s name is rather long, so I needed the extra space. 🙂
