I’ve just finished my little embroidered quilt, and it’s hanging happily on the wall for the rest of the fall season. It’s only about 18.25″ x 18.25″, so it fits almost anywhere. I’m so glad I decided on purple as the accent fabric; I think it brightens up the overall theme.
The quilting is a combination of free-motion feathers in each block …
… and ruler work in the borders. You can see here that I also used purple as corded piping just before the binding.
The second project was a quickie that I did while my machine was set up for embroidery to make the label for the quilt. I did a fast (ten minutes!) monogram on a couple of fingertip towels for the guest bathroom. The one on the left is done in black, and the one on the right is royal blue.

Love the fall quilt. When in doubt, always pick purple as an accent color!
You’re so right, Phyl! 🙂
