After a longish break, I’m back to working on my ‘Tis the Season quilt. It’s been ready for the quilting since before Christmas, but I’d put it off until now. There’s not a lot of progress to see at this point, but I’m making strides in getting all of the embroidered motifs outlined. Once that’s done, I’ll begin doing the fill designs in the background. The big question is which motifs I’m going to use! LOL! In the meantime, however, I’m enjoying the free motion outlining on my Bernina 780. 🙂

Oh WOW! Is that all embroidered?!!! Gorgeous! Where did you source those designs? It is so hard to find embroidery designs that aren’t too dense for quilting cottons, but yours look fanstastic and seem to have just the right amount of stitching. Looking forward to seeing this one finished!
Thanks, Rebecca Grace! Yes, it’s embroidered, and the pattern is from Claudia Dinnell. Unfortunately, the pattern is only available right now to people who take her class for this particular quilt, though I suspect it will be released at some point. I embroidered this on my 780, and it was a dream to do. 🙂 I have a photo of most of the quilt at <http://sandymike.net/blog/2015/09/18/four-for-the-show/>.
Congratulations on getting back to work on Tis the Season, coming up with a plan is always the hardest.
That’s *so* true!
