I started a new quilt the other day, and that’s the end of that story. LOL! This one is simply not going to be finished. After making a few blocks, I just don’t like it the way I thought I would. Oh well. Not every project is destined to become a finished object, is it?
To get my mind off of this little disappointment, I decided to play around with embroidery on my Bernina 780. I’ve just finished the mastery classes that came with the machine, and I’m thinking that some embroidered items will make nice gifts next Christmas. These are two versions of a lace wrap — with a little machine-embroidered appliqué — that will make a plain candle look a bit more festive. I had no idea that each one of these would use up more than one of the extra-large bobbins that this machine takes! There’s a lot of thread in these, but I think they’re worth it. What do you think?
