Whew! I’m tired! Last Thursday, two friends and I went to the convention center and set up my display. It was fun, and I’d never have been able to get it done without them. Here’s a photo of part of the finished display; I also had quilts hanging on two end walls, but they don’t show in this picture.
Quilt Show, part 2
There was also a beautiful banner — added later by the guild — that explained that the display was for the featured quilter. Over the course of the next three days I spoke with so many people that I lost count! LOL! But everyone was very kind about my quilts, and it was especially heart-warming to see friends stop by to talk and keep me company.
I’d entered four quilts into the competition portion of the show, and I managed to snap photos of those. Here is the Swap Baskets quilt that was the result of two exchanges in my circle:
Sakura, my Japanese-themed quilt was also there:
And the other two quilts that I entered actually won ribbons! On the left is my third-place Curvy Stars (hung sideways, for some reason ), and on the right is my Coneflower quilt, which took second place.
Now it’s back to normal! 🙂
