I’ve begun the free-motion work on the plumeria quilt I began some time ago, and one of the motifs I used just isn’t cutting it. I’m going to have to take it out, which isn’t good news, since the lines have been stitched over several times. Ugh. But it has to be done.
Just as I was deciding this, though, my doorbell rang, and there was my not-quite-six-year-old granddaughter! She’d ridden her bike over to a nearby park with her father, and they stopped here on the way home. But they didn’t just drop in for a visit; my granddaughter had picked some flowers for me at the park. It’s just what I needed to cheer me up. 😀 The purple ones smell heavenly, and there’s a cheerful little yellow daisy (stemless!) floating in the water, too.

I hate removing quilting stitches, but sometimes it just has to be done! The flowers are a lovely surprise present from you sweet grand-daughter!
