About a week ago, I posted that I had begun the quilting on a nap quilt for our youngest grandchild, as she will be going to preschool in the fall. Today I finished the quilting and will now be able to bind the quilt, ready for our granddaughter’s birthday. 🙂 Here are a couple of pictures of the back of the quilt, where it is easier to see the quilting than on the front. I outlined the motifs in the fairy panel that forms the major portion of the quilt; here you can see some of the stems and leaves of the artichoke plants that surround the fairy.
And here is part of the border, which is full of feathers undulating their way around the perimeter of the quilt.

I'm a retired high school French teacher from Arizona, now living in the Las Vegas area. I loved teaching French, but I love retirement even more! I'm a quilter, and most of what you see here will be about quilting, though I've also taken up knitting, and I love to bake. :)
Oh, really pretty quilting! I always love feathers. Someday I will get brave and try them. I’m sure your granddaughter will be very happy with her quilt.

When will I be able to do such lovely quilting? 😉 Seriously, though, it’s just beautiful and Gabriella is a very lucky little girl!
I’m blushing, Jill! Thanks so much! 🙂

Thanks, Marcella! Feathers are really fun — go for it!
