A couple of years ago, when I traded in my lovely Bernina 790Plus in favor of the Bernina 790Pro , the only thing I was a bit sad about was losing the beautiful “skin” I’d purchased for it. Unfortunately, the lady who had been making a wide variety of skins had shut down her business. đ However, about a week and a half ago, I had a message that she’d re-opened! I immediately went to her new website and ordered a skin for my machine, of course. Â I chose Rainbow Holographic, but there are lots of other options, as well as a good variety of patterns.
Anyway, look what arrived yesterday! The tube protected the skin beautifully and prevented creases.
And here is the skin, still attached to its backing and cover — great protection.
Applying the skin to a machine requires patience so as not to lose any of the tiny pieces, but — in my opinion, at least — the result is so worthwhile!
Here is the finished product, well worth the time involved, IMHO! I love it! The irridescent design makes the colors change according to the lighting — there’s a lot of purple (yay!) and pink, with some green, blue and who knows what else? Â Just click on the photos to enlarge, if you like.
