I mentioned in a previous post that I was participating in a “Slow Along” — a slow-paced series of video steps toward making (in this case) a travel toiletries bag called Travel Essentials. We began about eight weeks ago, and the last step was released yesterday, giving everyone lots of time to stay on track and caught up, barring unforeseen circumstances.
At any rate, I finished my bag yesterday, and I’m delighted with it. The fabric is an adorable Tula Pink print, with a purple Grunge for trim. There are lots of pockets for organization, and the whole thing can hang from a towel rack or other handy hook in a hotel room.
There are two pockets accessible on the outside while the bag is folded, with another four pockets on the inside when unfolded. One of the outer pockets isn’t part of the original pattern, but was added by the person who organized and ran the Slow Along. Inside, the bottom pocket is quite deep to hold “fatter” supplies, while the two vinyl pockets and the top mesh pocket are flat for smaller items.
I think this will be great for future trips, along with the curling iron bag I previously posted.

It is gorgeous & I so love that fabric. It is just fun with the dino! Now you need to plan a get away 😉
LOL! Yes, that’s the plan. We’re trying to come up with one now, and there will be my guild’s retreat in August. 🙂
Sandy, just gorgeous. What a great project for a traveler. Great choice of colors.
Thanks, Deena!:)
