I saw an embroidered/trapunto banner hanging in the Bernina area of my local dealer, and I liked it so much that I purchased the design files, which were from OESD. It took me a while to get around to actually making what I had in mind, but I’ve finally done it. 🙂 I wanted a banner to hang in the entry area of our home, and I wanted it to be sort of neutral in tone, so as not to be distracting. I chose a very soft grey fabric, with darker grey for the piping. The letters were outlined in dark grey, while the trapunto/quilting was done in a pale grey. It measures approximately 34.25″ x 7″.

Since I share the same last name and we both have husbands named Mike, I was so happy to see this banner.A great idea for some thing to make to put into the awkward area of the hall which is too narrow for anything else.I like reading your posts on Stashbusters.Keep up the good work.
Thanks, Diana! I’m glad you’ll be able to use this idea. 🙂 What is Stashbusters, though?
Sandy – The banner looks so good! Bet it’s pretty in your home.

Thanks, Lynne! I couldn’t have done it without your help. 🙂
It turned out really nice. I need to make me another one too.
I’d love to see it when you do. 🙂
