I saw a quilt at my local quilt shop and couldn’t get it out of my mind. I love the soft colors and the interest and movement created in the way the blocks are put together. It’s a departure from the very colorful quilts that were my last couple of projects, but I do like variety. Interwoven (the name of the design) comes from Lo & Behold Stitchery, and it’s available in a range of sizes; I’m making the throw size, which should end up measuring approximately 57″ x 71″.
When I began making this, I had no idea that I’d need to cut 162 strips! :O Eighty-two of those are in the dark fabric, and the remaining 80 are in the light fabric. Needless to say, I haven’t yet cut them all, though you can see a small supply of them in the photo. There are four different styles of strip-pieced blocks to make, too, though I’m still working on the first style. I’ll need 17 of those, and each strip set gives me four, so this is going to take some time! I have twelve blocks made and another strip set begun. I do have to say that my Bernina with its even feed and #97 foot is making this very accurate.
