A couple of weeks ago, I took a local class to learn how to make a Convergence quilt, as written about by Ricky Tims. We actually began two projects in class, but my second one is a total dud! These things happen. My first effort was marginally better, though I really should have used four fabrics instead of the two I selected; four fabrics would have added interest. However, I decided to go ahead and finish this one and did a *lot* of ruler quilting in the central portion; this quilting was based on four irregular triangles. Then I did matchstick quilting in the border before adding corded piping and a bias binding. The quilt is roughly 23″ square.

I like it but agree that 4 colors may have given it a more plaid look. But I still like this one. d
Thanks, Denise. Live and learn, right? 😉
This is really pretty, Sandy! It reminds me of looking at a sunset through a window with really fancy grillework/muntins.
Thanks! It was fun to make, whether or not I’m completely satisfied with it. 🙂
