I’ve just finished this quilt, called Dresden Neighborhood, but I think it should probably be called “Cursed”! 😉 I’d bought some lovely scraps of Cherrywood fabrics to use for the houses, but the scraps were so small that I didn’t want to wash them and risk ending up with a pile of threads. So — you guessed it! — some of the colors ran. What’s odd is that the very same fabrics did not run when used as houses; they only ran where used in the piping next to the binding. I treated the quilt for about 24 hours without luck, so the quilt will remain “alternatively colored” for now. To add to the mystery, I suddenly noticed a drop of blood on the front of the quilt last night as I was stitching the label in place. What made that very mysterious is that I hadn’t pricked myself, and there was no sign of any cut or scrape on my hands at all! Fortunately, the blood did come out. Hmmm … do I dare hang this anywhere in my home? Or will it cause mayhem?
