Autumn Twist is the name of a series of small (6″) embroidered blocks released by San Francisco Stitch Company. Each block is free for one week after its release, and so far we’re on the second block. These blocks are adorable! The first was this squirrel, and I simply couldn’t resist him, even though fall colors aren’t my usual preference.
The blocks are designed to be used with a specific set of variegated threads put out by Superior Threads, but I decided to use threads I already had on hand. That decision was fueled by my desire to start right away — forget having to await a delivery! 😉
Did I say that the squirrel was irresistible? This week’s block, this little fox all curled up and staring at me, was even cuter! Now I can hardly wait to see what weeks three and four will bring. 🙂
