The other day I ran across some adorable patterns for zippered bags at the Disorderly Threads site, and I couldn’t resist making them for a couple of equally adorable young girls, one of whom is our granddaughter (of course!). The other is the daughter of our younger daughter’s boyfriend.
Our granddaughter is very active in dance classes and performance, so this bag caught my eye first; I made it in her current favorite colors of pale pink teal and gold, and it’s lined with teal.
While I was browsing the DT site, I also ran across this unicorn pattern. Knowing that the other girl is a huge fan of unicorns, I decided to make this one, too. Pink and purple are the favorite colors here, and it’s lined in lavender.
Both bags are fully lined and are completely made in the hoop of an embroidery machine; my Bernina stitched through the multiple layers of fabric, batting, and stabilizer without a single hiccup. 🙂
