This couldn’t be posted back in March, when I made the cushion, simply because it was a gift that was only given this week. Our elder daughter and son-in-law celebrated their twentieth anniversary this week, and I wanted to make them a memento. The main side of the cushion came from a commercially available design, embroidered onto linen with teal piping around the outside.
The reverse side was personalized with a heart motif from my Bernina’s built-in files to which I added the couple’s names and pertinent dates.
I added an invisible zipper (love that #35 foot!) so that the pillow form can be removed when/if necessary.
