Ready for the next step

Believe it or not, I’m still working on La Vie Est Belle, though the lack of posts lately may not have made that very obvious. 😉 At any rate, I now have all of the major blocks put together as squares, each one a combination of a star center and four spiked units. There’s a lot of curved piecing in this quilt! And have I mentioned how much I rely upon the knee lift of my Bernina to make that curved piecing as easy as possible? Anyway, the next step will add sashing between the squares, and then I’ll be able to add the parts that fill in the holes along the edges. One step at a time ….
