Not so ferocious

I have a friend who introduced me to the Inheritance book series, written by Christopher Paolini. I’m not usually that fond of fantasy fiction, but these were really engrossing. 🙂 At any rate, my friend is having some health issues, and I happened to run across an embroidery file for a gorgeous dragon, so I decided to make a mug rug with the dragon on it. There’s a tiny bit of sparkle when the light catches the design; the sparkle comes from a small amount of silver metallic thread used in part of the design. I added some free-motion quilting to hold the layers together. The mug rug measures 8.25″ x 5.25″, so there’s plenty of room for coffee or tea. 🙂
