Once our “pre-extension” had ended, we boarded our river boat, the Viking Prestige. Our cabin was lovely; we’d been upgraded from a basic one to one with a French balcony, which was a little roomier and had the advantage of letting us open the sliding glass door and enjoy the outdoors — especially nice, since the weather had cleared up.
The next day, we had another tour of Budapest, mostly on the Buda side this time. The highlight for my husband that day was the Grand Market, an enormous enclosed market that was the cleanest one we’ve ever seen. We had samples of different types of honey, sausages, various pickles, cheeses, and pastries. Naturally, we brought home some Hungarian paprika!

I remember that market well! DH and I also did the Budapest extension on our river cruise. Beautiful city. And yes, I also brought home Hungarian paprika!
Must be something about being “Sandy”. 😉
